JCJ Vanderheyden (1928-2012) is considered one of the most influential contemporary Dutch artists. His reputation as a painter who redefined painting by incorporating science and multimedia was established in the late seventies.

His work focuses on boundaries and divisions, concentration and dispersion, emptiness and reflection. It expresses both clarity and complexity.
